Race HQ is located at Vandyke Upper School, Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzard, Beds, LU7 3DY and will be open from 7.30am on the day. Parking is available at Vandyke School and there is an overflow car park in the neighbouring school if needed. Please car share where possible. Please leave plenty of time to park, collect your number, drop off your baggage and get to the start, which is about 1k away. You will need to be at the start line by 8:45am for a prompt 9:00am start.
There will be a secure bag drop and toilets/changing facilities are all available at race HQ.
Please note, there are no toilets after you leave race HQ so please leave plenty of time before you have to head to the start line.
Packs will be available for collection on arrival at race HQ along with commemorative t-shirts.
The race begins on Appenine Way, opposite Beaudesert School, which will be closed to traffic. The rest of the course is on quiet country roads, which will be marshalled, but there may be traffic on the roads. For this reason, NO earphones are permitted to be worn for runners safety. Also, we do not permit pushchairs or dogs on the route. Always keep left on roads unless otherwise advised by marshals, please follow their instruction at all times. There will be a drink station at 5km.
After the race
Don’t forget some spare cash: Leighton Fun Runners are famous for their home made cakes, which will be available before and after the race, along with tea and coffee, for a donation which will go to our charity. Post-race massages will be available onsite too, then its off to the BLACK LION pub in Leighton Buzzard to spend your beer and pie voucher!
This year will be chip-timed. Results will be available shortly after the event on the LFR website. A link will be emailed out after the event.
Race photos will be available from LFR website following the event for a charity donation. A link will be emailed out after the event.
