We were back in town for our Tuesday club run this week, having a go at our out and back route to Wing.  Paul was in charge of getting the Fartlek gang lost on Wednesday.  Thursday saw the return of Capture the Flag, with Anthony overseeing the cheating shenanigans and Alan took the Friday morning crew on another lovely run in the sun.

On parkrun day we had runners at Milton Keynes, Poole, Linford Wood, Houghton Hall, Bryn Bach, Aylesbury, Fountains Abbey, Whinlatter Forest, Springhill and Rushmere.  At Rushmere, Andrew took his usual place in the top 10 with Jim not far behind and we had PBs from David, Karen and Gill.  Great running guys!

Superb running from many of the LFR ladies at the weekend, all completing a marathon in this weather.  Wes and Emma at the Phoenix Running Marathon and Claire, Lorraine, Annis and Steph at the Carry on up the Towpath Marathon!  Superb.

This weekend saw Team LFR descend on one of our favourite events, the Bearbrook 10K. Some great performances in this heat including Chris winning her age category!

A big thank you and kudos to Jim and Martin who took the time to head to Bearbrook on Sunday and support our runners.  It’s always a great help to see a familiar and friendly face.

LFR were not just out racing.  There many of us out on training runs, training rides and training everything and Matthew flying the LFR flag in Brussels.  Really great efforts in this sun. Well done all.

That’s all for this week!  Happy running, LFR!
