Leighton Fun Runners are back running together as a club following EA and the Government guidance roadmap. Our Covid Risk Assessment and Action Plan may be found here.
We are looking forward to returning to normal in the near future.
Established in 1983, Leighton Fun Runners (LFR) has been helping runners of all ages and abilities to achieve their goals for over 30 years. The club has grown from a small group of friends with a shared love of running, to now having over 300 members.
From supporting new runners taking their first steps with our couch to 5K course right through to marathon training, LFR caters for every level of athlete. With four organised club runs a week including road, off-road and performance based training, the club has an active running community from all over Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding villages. LFR also has a thriving social scene with outings and events for those for those who want to meet new people.
LFR members compete in race events all over the UK and abroad. As well as road races from 5k to marathon distance, LFR also takes part in the popular Three Counties cross country league, a number of ultra-marathons, duathlon/triathlons and even has some keen hard-core obstacle race goers!
Whether you are looking to improve your existing performance or just run for fun, LFR offers a supportive and friendly club network with something for everyone. To find out more about becoming a member, please take a look at How to join LFR.
